Kurt Wiesmeyer

Mr. Wiesmeyer brings 40 plus years of ultra-precision machining, welding and parts manufacturing experience to the team. He started as a machinist in his father’s machine shop and grew as opportunities arose. He became an expert in robotic welding, designing systems for welding parts that were flown on the space shuttle. He later learned computer controlled machining and he went out on his own, forming Wiesmann Tool and Die in Atlanta Georgia. For over 17 years, he produced parts for everything from the space shuttle, to F18 and F35 parts to classified RF components used in the stealth programs for the United States. Here he met Dr. Burgett and his precision and attention to detail impressed him. He was awarded contracts for manufacturing parts in support of different industrial electron linear accelerator systems including linac cavities, waveguide components, magnet systems, as well as precision support fixturing and high vacuum components. Recently joining the Pulse Industries team full time, his experience has made him an invaluable asset to the team. He leads the manufacturing efforts on the floor including our ultraprecision machining, conveyance manufacturing, part creation as well as our Computer Measurement Machining Metrology program supporting the manufacture of all of the major components of the linac systems and support systems.
