Scott Macintire
Director of Accelerator Systems and Systems Resilience. Mr. Macintire started his career in the United States Navy where he was an RF systems Technician/Engineer. There he worked on the RF systems of the F-14 fighter wing and even worked supporting the pilots at Top Gun in Miramar California. After retiring from the Navy, he joined as a Fire Fighter for the City of Memphis. Here, his aptitude and thirst for knowledge lead him to become a Paramedic, Emergency Medical Technician, and Hazmat Incident Director. He became exceptionally proficient in rapidly designing and engineering solutions to the most challenging life or death problems the department could throw at him. An avid SCUBA diver, he continued his schooling receiving certificates from Duke University and is a certified Diver Medic. Furthering his education he continued to study Emergency Management, Systems Design, and Medicine. He earned advanced degrees from the University of Memphis. Seeing the need for improved medical device sterilization operations, he joined with Pulse Industries in 2019 supporting our sister company, Pulse Sterile. Since then he has transitioned into his role at Pulse Industries where his skills are utilized daily. He is our lead software and hardware test engineer, ensuring the highest degree of safety is included in all of our systems. He leads our Safety Instrumentation Level reviews and continuously finds ways to improve the safety and reliability of our final products. As Director of Accelerator Systems, he is responsible for the training of accelerator operators, technicians, and maintenance personnel. He oversees both local and client based training operations and is a training specialist for our systems.
